HTML <base> element
HTML <base> element ஒரு document-ல் உள்ள அனைத்து, தொடர்புடைய URL-களுக்கும் பயன்படுத்தும் அடிப்படை URL ஐக் குறிப்பிடுகிறது. ஒரு document-ல் ஒரே ஒரு <base> element மட்டுமே இருக்க முடியும்.
document-ல் பயன்படுத்தப்படும் அடிப்படை URL ஐ document.baseURI என்ற script மூலம் அணுகலாம். document-ல் <base> elements இல்லை என்றால், இயல்புநிலையாக(default) baseURI location.href க்கு மாறிவிடுுகிறது.
Note: இது Metadata content categorie-யை சேர்ந்தது. இதில் எந்த ஒரு content-ம் இருக்காது empty element ஆகும். இதற்க்கு எந்த ஒரு closing tag-ம் இருக்ககூடாது. இதன் parent tag
<head> ஆகத்தான் இருக்க முடியும். அதேபோல் இதில் ஒரே ஒரு <base> தான் இருக்க வேண்டும்.
